A ultra high-performance 160-6m Software Defined Transceiver that requires only a single Firewire (IEEE-1394) connection to a PC and installation of PowerSDR software to provide a complete radio. This isn’t a traditional radio with software defined “features”, but a real software defined radio where all of the filtering, AF signal processing, modulation and demodulation is done entirely in software. Additionally, all analog to digital conversions and digital to analog are performed internally in the FLEX-5000 with high quality AD/DA converters so an external sound card is not required. The FLEX-5000 achieves the highest receiver performance of any radio without the need to add expensive narrow roofing filters.
The FLEX-5000A requires the use of PowerSDR software which runs on a variety of Windows operating systems. Not all versions of Windows are currently supported, so please review the FlexRadio PowerSDR 1.x Operating System Compatibility Statement to ensure the operating system running on your personal computer is fully supported before purchasing.
